The Numa Numa Dance Song makes you feel better

There’s no logical explanation for it. The numa numa dance song doesn’t have any magical meaning behind it. In fact most people don’t even know what the song means and can only sing the first part of the song and the chorus. Despite this fact, it’s still one of the most feel-good songs you’ll ever hear and of course the video goes a long way to making people laugh as well.

The first thing you’ll notice about the song is that the tune is incredibly catchy. If you haven’t listened to it before (or in a while), stop and watch this video now:

I’m willing to bet that even if you’ve watched the video before, you still paused to watch it again. Hell, I even just did, and you know I’ve seen it many times. So what is it about the video and the song that makes us all laugh and feel good? It’s the simplicity and the catchy-factor. We all lead hectic lives and even the richest, healthiest and best looking of us all have our problems. Most of the time we have to work through some serious issue or another and our minds are working overtime. That’s where the Numa Numa phenomenon comes into play. You literally shut your mind down for a while and enjoy some pointless and mind-numbing fun.

The numanuma song reminds us that life doesn’t always have to be so serious. Sometimes you gotta let go and live for the moment, or as the saying goes “Miya-hee, Miya-hoo, Miya-ho, Miya-haha”. Huh?

Napoleon Dynamite Numa Numa Dance

Napoleon Dynamite was a great movie. Excellent dialogue with some really funny scenes that were executed perfectly by Jon Heder who was the startof the movie. This guy was basically unknown before the movie and became a star overnight. Well maybe a “star” is the wrong term to describe Heder, but he did a good job and established himself as a good actor for the nerd-hero genre.

It’s somewhat ironic that there is a scene with Napolean dancing to the Numa Numa song. Numa Numa is known across the world as the phenomenon of viral videos that spread across the web like a crazy virus. A perfect opportunity to have your relatively unknown actor carry out a hilarious scene using this very song.

We’re going to be sharing a lot more classic numa numa videos, but this is one you will be laughing at for a long time because Napolean Dynamite is not the most graceful dancer in the world, but just like the Numanuma song, you can’t get it out of your head at the end of the day.

New Numa Numa video somebody’s watching me

There’s a new NumaNuma video in town. Gary Brolsma is doing his thing in a parody commercial for Geico. The video’s music is “Somebody’s watching me” by Rockwell. The cool Geico gecko dances in the background.

You’ll notice that there is no call to action (CTA) in the video. In other words, you don’t have a link to click on or a number to call. The video plays on the fame of Brolsma, the genius of Numa Numa and the cool factor of the Geico gecko to do the selling for them.

I think it’s cool.

So many of us find the Numa Numa song to be extremely catchy, but still have no clue what the actual words are. I found a video on YouTube that spells out the actual lyrics. Let me tell you – after reading the lyrics I’m even more confused than before icon smile Numa Numa Dance Lyrics

Read this lyrics and you’ll probably end up with the same conclusion as I reached: this song is nuts and that’s part of the appeal.

The Numa Numa Dance Meme

Many of the people on the internet have seen Gary Brolsma dancing to O-Zone even if they didn’t know it. Gary, also known as the “Numa Numa guy” received sudden internet fame when he posted a video of himself dancing to “Dragostea din tei”,” a Moldovian pop song, on a website known as Newgrounds.com back in 2004. This video quickly went “viral” as Newgrounds users began to pass it around between one another and post it in various forums. The video ultimately crested at over eighteen million views, making it one of the most widely viewed submissions on Newgrounds.

This sudden and undesired fame initially was hard on Gary, but he quickly adapted to it, and he has since posted additional videos on his own website, though they have failed to capture the fame and viral spread of the original work. Still, the “Numa Numa Dance” is an example of how a simple, funny video can quickly become powerful through the voice of public opinion, as demonstrated on the internet.
